Simisola (Part 1) (1996)

Part 1 of 3 of the Inspector Wexford mystery. Reg Wexford's new doctor, a Nigerian called Dr Akande, reports to him that his daughter Melanie has disappeared and wants him to find her. Wexford decides the best way would be to trace her movements on the day she disappeared and discovers the last person to see her alive was a woman from the Job Centre where she went to sign on. However, upon visiting the woman's home, they discover that she has been murdered... Starring George Baker, Christopher Ravenscroft, Louie Ramsey, Diane Keen, George Harris, Ellen Thomas, Jane Lapotaire, Michael Cochrane, Robin Kermode, Charon Bourke, Philip Bird, Adrian Martin, Razaaq Adoti, Emily Hamilton, Charles Simon, Shaughan Seymour, Meg Davies, plus a young Idris Elba before he became famous. Although I have a lot of the Wexford mysteries, the last two I have left - Simisola and Road Rage - were originally uploaded on Youtube by Paul Goddard, which I was fortunate enough to save before they disappeared.
