Part 2 of a two part Wexford mystery from 1998. Wexford is in despair after his wife Dora was kidnapped along with a few others by a group calling themselves Sacred Globe, who demand that the planned bypass through an ancient woodland is called off. His colleague DI Mike Burden, meanwhile, is trying to solve the murder of a German girl, whose body was discovered in the woods and who was last seen one night outside a pub waiting for a taxi. But could both cases be linked?
Starring George Baker, Louie Ramsey, Christopher Ravenscroft, Diane Keen, Deborah Poplett, Charon Bourke, Robin Kermode, Isabelle Middleton, James Allan, John Forgeham, Natasha Estelle Williams, Nigel Pegram, Patricia Garwood, Timothy Evans, Fiona Welburn, Jack Klaff, Judith Sharp, Patsy Byrne and a young Joanna Scanlan in an early role among the many cast. This was adapted by George Baker himself, and remains a dark and somewhat grim mystery at times. Please note that this has violence and some nudity included, and is also from an old video tape I had of the mystery, so apologies for any glitches there may be. This is the last of the Wexford mysteries that I have, with only The Veiled Lady, Achilles Heel and the last Wexford, Harm Done, missing from the Wexford mysteries. If I come across any of the others I will upload them, though be warned - The Veiled Lady is only for die hard fans of Wexford!
