Chicory kvass is an easy-to-prepare refreshing drink that can be made in a couple of hours at home. The taste resembles Soviet kvass from a barrel, but without bread notes and abundant resistant foam. Fortress - 0.5-1.5% vol.
Any soluble chicory without aromatic and other additives is suitable. If chicory is replaced with a barley drink, then the taste will not change much, only the color will turn darker.
The amount of sugar can be changed at your discretion in the range from 250 to 350 grams, adjusting the sweetness.
Citric acid is needed to stabilize the acidity of the wort (sweet bacon), it not only improves the taste, but also promotes fermentation, so you must add it. Dry yeast can be replaced with pressed yeast (5 times more is required), but then in the kvass there may appear nourishing notes of taste.
RECIPE:
water (boiled hot) - 3l
chicory (without additives and flavorings) - 1.5 tablespoons
sugar -250g
citric acid - 1 tsp without slide
dry yeast - 1 tsp without slide
raisins - 3-4-5pcs per bottle
