This is a dramatically condensed and reformatted version of my two Miscellaneous Rare Covers videos, which together totaled about an hour and a half. What ended up happening was threefold:
1) I ended up taking out some of the longer covers like Purple Rain, Tears Ronnie Scotts, and two Perfect Strangers versions and giving them their own videos.
2) I found some new covers recently (like Pigs In Zen, Wipeout, and the Heaven and Hell/Killers clip) but didn’t have quite enough to make a Miscellaneous Rare Covers 3 video.
3) Some of the Bad, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, and Hey You covers I shared previously are now in either the Once In A LIVEtime outtakes or the two late 1998 shows I shared.
The general idea here was to compile covers that I thought were too weak and/or too short to be in their own videos. To keep things as interesting as possible, the sound clips in this video are also in none of my other videos. I have shared these performances of Ice Cream Man, Mission Impossible, Whole Lotta Love, and the Zeppelin medley before, but for this video, I used different sound sources (very common to have multiple different bootlegs of the same DT show). Another reason I made the Miscellaneous Rare Covers videos in the first place was to showcase some of my Photoshops. All Photoshops by me except the Rudess Priest one by “danny_f of the MP and DT forums,” and The Progfather, by unknown. And yes, those are real yearbook photos of Derek Sherinian and Kevin Moore.
