An example how Far Eastern countries were represented in documentary films. This isa German documentary film showing India, Bali and Hawaii (I guess) According to an old 1937 German reportage India, was the land of dreams. This exotic film was projected as a home movie for families that could only dream of traveling abroad. The last part has a strong resemblance of Bali and Hawaii ! Indeed, I was informed that the latter part is from the 1931 German film 'Bora Bora' of director F.W. Murnau. The film starts of with Somanatha pura - hoysala temple, near T Narasipur & after? it is a Mysore style temple, next a few seconds of Chalukya Temples from Belur / Halebeedu followed by the statue of Bahubali or Gomateshwara at Shravanabelagola and elephant based lumber jacking, again in South India. Finally islands thousands of miles distance of India are seen - yet unspoiled by tourism.
