I'm Alan Partridge (S2, Ep 2) (2002)

S2, Ep 2: When Michael's front door is stolen so he ends up staying over at Alan's. Alan's latest gig is hosting an annual awards ceremony for a coal-effect gas fireplace company and is being visited by a representative of South African extraction. He plans to show him round the country club to impress him for a contract, but when a prank he played on the club backfires he ends up having to take him to his new home - which still hasn't been built yet... Starring Steve Coogan, Felicity Montagu, Simon Greenall, Amelia Bullmore, Phil Cornwell, Danny Cunningham, Simon Ludders, Tim Dante and Steve Brody. There aren't as many memorable moments in this 2nd series of I'm Alan Partridge, but there is one in this episode as Alan finds himself impaled on a spike after trying to creep into the country club (whose security code system he mercilessly ribs and feels very much apt today). It's still outrageously funny at times, not least his efforts to be matey with the South African executive that would have today's programme makers have an attack of the vapours today. Enjoy.
