S3, Ep 4: Alan B'stard's latest bill proposes that, to save the government money, all retirement homes should be closed and the elderly should be looked after by their families. However, this rebounds on him when a scruffy old bag-lady turns up at the house to embarrass him - it turns out to be his own mother Beryl. Starring Rik Mayall, Michael Troughton, Marsha Fitzalan, Brenda Bruce, Penny Brownjohn, Alan Ford, David Lloyd, John Webster, Martin Friend, Graham Rigby and Nicholas Fry. Another star pick who lights up this series, this time it's the imperious Brenda Bruce who turns up to embarrass Alan B'stard as his wayward and now destitute old mother.
