𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻'𝘀 𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟲  ⚓️🔱🧛‍♀️🦇⚰️⚓️

👽𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙘 * 𝙎𝙘𝙞-𝙁𝙞 * 𝙃𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧 * 𝙈𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙨 👽   A police officer in the future uncovers the deadly secret behind a society that worships youth.  It's 2274, and on the surface, it all seems to be an idyllic society. Living in a city within an enclosed dome, there is little or no work for humans to perform, and inhabitants are free to pursue all of the pleasures of life. There is one catch however: your life is limited and when you reach thirty, it is terminated in a quasi-religious ceremony known as "carrousel". Some, known as "runners", try to escape their fate when the time comes, and it's the job of Sandmen to track them down and kill them. Logan (Michael York) is such a man, and with several years before his own termination date, thinks nothing of the job he does. Soon after meeting a young woman, Jessica-6 (Jenny Agutter), he is ordered to become a runner and infiltrate a community outside the dome known as "Sanctuary" and to destroy it. Pursued by his friend Francis (Richard Jordan), also a Sandman, Logan and Jessica find their way to the outside. There, they discover a beautiful, virtually uninhabited world. Logan realizes that he must return to the dome to tell them what he's found and be set free. Movie Trivia When the Old Man is showing Logan some of the portraits that used to hang on the walls of the Capitol, a portrait of former President Richard Nixon was originally included, with the line "They used to call him tricky... something." According to Michael Anderson, the gag was considered too controversial at the time. In the original novel, the colors of the Life Clock change every seven years: yellow (birth-6), blue (7-13), red (14-20), red and black on Lastday, and black at 21. According to the audio commentary, the movie changed it to 30 because it wasn't realistic to have a cast with all of the characters under 21. The "Love Shop" sequence originally ran about four minutes, but required re-editing for the movie to be granted a PG rating. A scene with Box making a nude ice sculpture of Logan and Jessica was also cut. A scene with several characters visiting the "Hallucimill" shop in Arcade was cut for its depiction of drug use. All of the additional footage and its background music were lost in what is now known as "the great MGM purge", when studio owner Kirk Kerkorian sold off what he could of the studio's extensive archives, and threw out the rest.
