The Lomax family are notorious money lenders in a part of Glasgow, so it's no surprise when Willy Lomax is found hacked to death after leaving a party. It seems someone had an axe to grind with Willy - literally, as soon after an amateur theatrical group reports that an axe used in their play of Lizzie Borden has been stolen. For Taggart, it's a welcome distraction from being on holiday with his wife and her family at the Glasgow Garden Festival. However, the killer isn't finished yet and what looks at first to be a straightforward case proves far more complex than they realize...
Starring Mark McManus, James MacPherson, Celia Imrie, Kenny Ireland, John Kane, Gordon Kane, Emma D'Inverno, Peter Kelly, Tom Mannion, Don Gallagher, Iain Anders, Robert Robertson, Harriet Buchan, Leigh Biagi, Sandy Welch, Irene Sunters, Jonathan Hackett and Elizabeth Millbank. This is from a recording of mine from when it was shown on TV years ago, so apologies in advance for any glitches there are. Also, not sure why it has an advert at the beginning, but the mystery follows just after it. I remember being apprehensive at first about a mystery involving money lenders, but it proved a far more complex and enjoyable mystery than I thought it would. It is helped no end by a super performance by Celia Imrie, who I may add appears in another of my uploads later this afternoon. What that is you'll have to wait and see. Oh, please be warned this contains some swearing and violence - though let's face it, when the mystery involves an axe you've got a feeling it's not going to be pretty!
(Note: I've gone back to uploading these in 720pHQ, as I've discovered that not only do they look fine when downloaded, they don't track either. It's just this
ok.ru site for some reason. So if the video looks fuzzy or tracks on here, it's not the video - it's this site. Thought I'd mention it).
