This is a rare live recording of Prince in concert. footage is Filmed WITH PERMISSION for press / reviews & news stations by Michael Biggins. no quality HD footage of Prince's older material exists because he died just as HD was really taking off. This is a clip from the "Welcome to America" concert tour in 2011 at Madison Square Garden in New York City NYC. I was there as a press reviewer & was there super early and got to meet Prince for all of about a minute or two. He started the conversation with me while in tech rehearsal sound check and said to me, "now THAT'S a cool hat!" I'll never forget it! I replied "Prince, I don't ask much, but PLEASE... 1999.... can you play 1999?" He had sown the song off and that he was never going to play it, not only did he play it, but HE OPENED WITH IT!!!!! Followed by Little Red Corvette & The Beautiful Ones! While this looks like the concert close this was JUST the first 3 songs! I had a press pass so this is a review and covered under fair use YouTube! Here's my review - The best Prince concert I have ever been too. Purely Awesome & I got to meet him. He opened with 1999 and told me - "Now that's a cool hat!" I'll never forget it. Enjoy! Despite how it looks, this is not the end, but the OPENING of the concert, unlike previous years where he didn't sing his classics, he OPENED with 1999, Little Red Corvette, & The Beautiful Ones - which features Misty Copeland - considered one if not the top dancers in the world (voted time magazines 100 most influential people in the world) This is the same concert where Prince kicked Kim Kardashian off the stage yelling "Get off the stage!"
