BMW may have just moved the R20 launch much closer than anyone expected. In an official BMW Motorrad video, Markus Flasch revealed that the R20 is one of his personal passion projects and hinted that the production bike could arrive sooner than the original 2028 timeline. That has sparked new speculation that the BMW R20 could launch as early as 2027. The latest prototype looks remarkably close to production, keeping the dramatic round LED headlight, floating solo seat, aluminum bar-end mirrors, and twin side-exit exhausts that made the R20 Concept so unforgettable. Under the tank, the production R20 is expected to feature BMW's biggest air-and-oil-cooled Big Boxer yet—close to 2,000cc—with more than 180 Nm of torque and over 120 horsepower.
