Unfortunately for him, Robin Masters has asked Magnum to track down an embezzler working in a local bank. However, he gives Higgins the number of a man to take the case on for him - private eye Luther Gillis! Having dispensed with one irritant in the new "Mac", sadly the series gets lumbered with another when Magnum - assigned a case by Robin Masters - proves too busy to help Higgins, who is being blackmailed and instead tells him to hire Luther Gillis, old fashioned private eye.
