Alice Hartley faces an impasse in her life when her husband decides after years of marriage that he is no longer attracted to her. But when later that night a shy young man called Michael turns up on her doorstep she takes the chance to run off with the young man in his camper van. When he hears news of the death of his elderly aunt and inherits her property, Alice takes full opportunity to move in with him and set up a "Growth Centre" involving many aspects of life and sex. Only problem is, his aunt isn't dead - but Alice is prepared to stop at nothing to maintain her dream venture...
Starring Pam Ferris, Ken Christiansen, Charlotte Coleman, Constance Chapman, David Ryall, Danny Webb, Peter Blythe, Jim Carter, Gary McDonald, Emily Piercy, Kate Fenwick, Amanda Symonds, Jill Spurrier, Carol MacReady, Maeve Murphy and Jonathan Wrather. This was part of the Screen Two anthology series, first broadcast on May 21st 1995, and one I acquired with help by Zack Smith for him because it features Charlotte Coleman in it. However, I don't always enjoy all the things I upload on here and I have to say this is one of the weirdest Screen Two instalments I have ever seen. To call it a "Black Comedy" might be an understatement and it will not be everyone's cup of tea. For Charlotte Coleman fans, she pops up at 44mins in, so they might want to check in then. Please note this also contains swearing, violence, sex scenes and nudity - and some of it is not a pretty sight (and no, I don't mean Pam Ferris...). You have been warned...
