A documentary film by David Farrier, focusing on the life of Michael Organ, an enigmatic figure associated with an antiques store and car clamping business in Ponsonby, Auckland, and Farrier's attempts to learn more about his life.
Journalist and filmmaker David Farrier unwittingly stumbles into a game of cat and mouse with a mystery man creating havoc in his New Zealand neighbourhood, wheel-clamping cars at a local antique store parking lot, then charging the owners more than $700 to remove the clamps. That clamper was Michael Organ, and little did Farrier know that delving deeper into who Organ really is would be a thrilling and tension-filled three-year-long investigation -- unearthing a trail of multiple court cases, inflated claims of royal bloodlines, ruined lives, and at least one stolen boat.
Mister Organ lures the viewer in with its stranger-than-fiction setup before revealing itself to be far darker and more complex -- not to mention rewarding -- than it initially appears.
