Vladimir Zhirinovsky is the leader of Russia's LDPR party (Liberal-Democratic Party). It is the third most popular in the country after United Russia (previously associated with Vladimir Putin, who in 2018 is running as an independent) and the Communist Party. Zhirinovsky is known for his eccentric character and a lack of "political correctness" - saying things exactly how he sees them. This has earned him the reputation of a political clown, but political theatre aside - he is often correct.
