Two Ronnies' The Adventures of Archie (1983)

This is the strange tale of Archie Barber, who discovers a strange object in his house, but when he accidently rubs it he ends up in Old Baghdad, where he decides to set up life as a Cobbler. Unfortunately a misunderstanding sees him thrown in jail, and it is there that he discovers the object's magical properties, and what it can achieve... Starring Ronnie Corbett, Ronnie Barker, Gerrie Raymond and John Rutland among the cast. This is a spoof of all those Arabian Nights stories that were popular in the 1940's. Despite the lavish budget of the previous short (Murder is Served), the sets here look surprisingly cheap. This was shown on Christmas Day during episode 3 of Series 10 the Two Ronnies series.
