This is the fifth episode of the 10-part series featuring shipspotting of Russian River Cruise Ships during 2022 navigation.
Settle back in your armchair and enjoy the views of Russian river cruise ships, the riverside landscapes of the Moscow Canal, and the sounds of the river.
In this video, I'll show you seven river cruise ships of project 302: m/s Ivan Bunin, m/s Knyazhna Anastasia, m/s Konstantin Simonov, m/s Leonid Krasin, m/s Maxim Litvinov (aka Kandinsky Prestige, aka Vasiliy Kandinski), m/s Moonlight Sonata, and m/s Swan Lake.
The closest relatives of the 301 project cruise liners are the motor ships of the 302 project, or rather further development of the 301s. These cruise ships were built in Germany by the USSR order from 1983 to 1991. In total it had been built 27 river cruise ships under project 302. But the construction of the last 3 ships hadn't been paid for, and they were finally sold to China. Later they worked on the Yangtze River. For the river travelers, the interiors of the ships are almost identical to the interiors of the 301 project cruise liners. But the cabins on the lower deck are particularly worth mentioning. On the 302s the cabins on the lower deck I like better. They are longer and more spacious.
Well, what else could I say about the 302s? The large size of cruise ships presumes certain advantages. They are more comfortable and less dependent on heavy weather navigation. Well, you’ll see it yourself if you step on board such ships. Besides, it occurs sometimes that going out to large lakes in stormy weather is prohibited for other cruise ships, while 302s run easily. Why you will only slightly roll with the waves and get another unusual impression of the cruise.
