Natalie Imbruglia (February 4, 1975) is an Australian-British singer, songwriter, and actress. Born in Sydney, she first gained recognition as an actress in the Australian soap “Neighbours” before launching her music career. Her 1997 debut single “Torn” became a worldwide smash and remains her signature hit. The song reached No. 2 in the United Kingdom, No. 1 in several countries including Sweden and Belgium, Top 10 across Europe, and No. 42 on the US Billboard Hot 100, while topping the US Airplay chart. Her debut album “Left of the Middle” (1997) sold over 7 million copies. Follow-up hits were “Big Mistake", “Shiver” and “Wrong Impression”.
