Located down the country lanes of Lawrence, within the South Island of New Zealand. You’ll see how to group the tree masses, control edges, build clarity through deliberate brushwork and shift color in this autumn landscape. Grab your brushes as we shape branches, carve out leafy masses, sharpen edges, and add individual strokes of light and shadow to the grasses, fallen leaves and trees. Color Palette: Burnt Umber / Burnt Sienna / Transparent Red Oxide / Transparent Yellow Oxide / Titanium White / Cremnitz White / Cadmium Lemon / Cadmium Red Light / Quinacridone Magenta / Ultramarine Blue / Cobalt Blue / Cobalt Teal / Pthalo Green I added a couple extra as I progressed, trying to capture the brilliance of the autumnal foliage - though in hindsight, it’s not necessary.
