S2, Ep 4: From Moscow to Maul. A year after escaping from Moscow in a MiG 23 fighter jet, a Soviet defector hires Magnum to help his girlfriend defect from an Olympic track team visiting Hawaii. She is under close watch of undercover KGB agents, and Magnum, T.C. and Rick, with assistance from Higgins, must carry out their plan with military precision to free her. But is it as simple as it seems or is there more than meets the eye here? Starring Tom Selleck, John Hillerman, Roger E Mosley, Larry Manetti, Jeff Pomerantz, Allan Rich, Jan Ivan Dorin, Susan Heldfond, Marianne Mullerleile, Robert Apisa, Richard McPherson, R J Arterburn, Jeff Albert, John Dullargan, Jim Grimshaw, Neal Lipe and Kit Wennerstein. Episode 4 and here's a flashback to the Cold War era of the 1980's when people were desperate to escape the Communist system for a Western democracy prepared to face that system down. Of course little did the makers know that by the end of the 1980's that system would indeed fall, but it's interesting viewing how it used to be. How times have changed - or maybe not, as the case may be.
