S2, Ep 7: Tropical Madness. Magnum is surprised when a beautiful woman from England, Jennifer Chapman, takes an interest in Higgins. Magnum is certain the woman is feigning interest in Higgins to somehow use him for an ulterior motive and plans to uncover the truth. But his actions only push their tentative friendship to the limit...
Starring Tom Selleck, John Hillerman, Roger E Mosley, Larry Manetti, Devon Erickson, Roy Dotrice, Jake Hoopai, Bruce Johnson and Michael Dennis. This episode is a nice showcase for Higgins and the considerable talents of John Hillerman. While Magnum may be the star of the show, Higgins easily steals the show and his old English charm (Hillerman was actually a Texan in real life who perfected his accent studying a Laurence Olivier elocution record) and gentlemanly conduct made him an appealing character you just couldn't help liking, even when he was being officious. And when Magnum is occasionally acting the big kid, sometimes it's quite amusing seeing Higgins outwit him! Here Higgins believes he has found love - but is it genuine or is Magnum right to be suspicious?
