Everyone has seen the beautiful Lantern Festival (Yee Peng) celebrated in Chiang Mai, but little know the fact that it is actually a Chinese festival. On the same night, the Thai festival of Loy Krathong is celebrated, so we decided to celebrate the local way. We made Krathongs with kids at a school where our friend Paddy works to release in the river, but first we stumbled upon the most beautiful monk ceremony we've ever seen!
