France's Sonia Wieder-Atherton is one of the world's most prestigious cellists. In this concert conceived especially for this film, she plays a selection of pieces that reflects the wealth of her repertoire and the intensity of her musical exploration. The program includes works by Claudio Monteverdi, Leos Janacek, Johannes Brahms and Franz Schubert. Chantal Akerman, a long-time friend, filmed this concert.
