Boris Berezovsky and the Mariinsky Theatre Symphony Orchestra under Valery Gergiev performing the finale of Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No 5 in E-flat Major.
This Beethoven concerto is called the “Imperial” or “Great” concerto because Concerto No. 5 truly surpasses Beethoven's other concertos in the amount of time it is played. The finale of the concerto or 3rd movement is the Rondo. Allegro - connects to the previous movement with a short ligament, and the energetic main part is played first by the soloist and then picked up by the orchestra.
