Starring Kyle MacLachlan, Tony Haygarth, Jason Robards, Alfred Molina, Juliet Stevenson, Jean Stapleton, Polly Walker, David Thewlis, Peter Straker, Douglas Hodge, Ewan Stewart, Michael Kitchen, John Shrapnel, Nicholas Farrell, Anthony Hopkins, Patrick Godfrey, Paul Brooke, Robert Lang, Roger Lloyd Pack, Leon Lissek, Harry Burton, Trevor Peacock and John Woodvine among the cast, this was from the Screen Two anthology series and was originally broadcast on December 19th 1993. Based on Frank Kafka's dystopian novel, it's a frightening and uncompromising tale that is very prevalent today over 100 years from when it was first published. With a wealth of famous faces (including a appearance by none other than Anthony Hopkins!), this is compelling viewing. Enjoy - if that's the right word!
