Starring: Lauren Bacall, Ruth Gordon, Sandy Dennis, Lisa Pelikan Expectant mother Annie Cavagnaro, society lady Lizzie Martin and failing small-business woman Sophie Rosenman become friends upon discovering that they all have husbands behind bars. Under the tutelage of Annie's mother-in-law, the pint-size firecracker Mama Cavagnaro, the three women come up with a harebrained scheme to end their financial woes -- one that most certainly involves mischief of the criminal kind.
