Salar de Uyuni Sunset Mix | Progressive & Organic House

Before anything, I feel the need to sadly share that one of our dogs, Greicy (the one featured in one of my recent short-form videos), passed away yesterday (Jan 11). Her loss has hit me hard and led me to heavily reflect on things, as she was very young, and her death was so sudden. Events like this truly remind me that life is meant to be intentionally lived every day. I know that our dog, despite her short time with us, lived each day as if it were her last. With that in mind, I want to dedicate this mix to Greicy. Here is now the story behind this mix: Back in November, I had the privilege of visiting Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, one of the most surreal places on Earth. It was truly a sight to behold, to say the least. When I found out I was going to this breathtaking location, I knew I had to bring my Hercules Starlight and somehow record a set there. Here’s the result... My original tracklist included 16 tracks, but during the 12th track, things took a turn. As the sun set, the temperature dropped significantly, and the winds picked up heavily. This caused my DJ controller to freeze, only my iPad and Speaker kept on working. You’ll notice the equipment malfunction as the mix abruptly cuts off at 58:35. Additionally, our guide (an amazing guy, by the way—if you ever visit Uyuni, let me know, and I’ll gladly share his info) strongly recommended we head back. It was getting dark and very cold, and we still had a long journey to the hotel, as we were literally in the middle of nowhere. Despite the technical difficulties at the end, I’m really happy with how the mix turned out, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it! Special Thanks to: 1.
