The System (1964)🔹

The System is a 1964 British drama film. It features Oliver Reed, Jane Merrow, Barbara Ferris, Harry Andrews, Julia Foster, Andrew Ray, John Alderton, David Hemmings, and Guy Doleman. During the summer season at Roxham a gang of young men led by Tinker have perfected a system for collecting any pretty arrivals and sharing them on rota. Tinker spots Nicola, rich, elegant and blasé who plays him at his own game. For the first time he falls in love. The summer sees the break-up of the gang. Nidge marries his pregnant girl-friend and Suzy, an old flame of Tinker's is herself abandoned by Nicola's father. The holiday makers leave, including Nicola, for whom Tinker was only a passing distraction.
