The First of the Few is a 1942 British biographical drama WWII film. It features Leslie Howard, David Niven, John Rosamund, Roland Culver, Anne Firth, and Derrick De Marney. A fictionalised biopic chronicling the true story of how two of the most remarkable men in aviation history, visionary Spitfire designer R.J. Mitchell and his test pilot Geoffrey Crisp, designed a streamlined monoplane, which led to the development of the RAF's Supermarine Spitfire.
