Little Violet - Silent Movie (The Artist) Electro SWING

Surprise! LITTLE VIOLET's swinging single SILENT MOVIE gets a belated video in tribute to Black and White film in general and THE ARTIST in particular. It seemed a long overdue mash-up. The retro-styled pianist and singer with her band were early on the Electro Swing/Vintage Pop scene back in 2012 with the massive single DON'T STOP. The track SILENT MOVIE is part of a more recent EP released on FRESHLY SQUEEZED in 2019. Jazzy vocals, dance beats, sophisticated lyrics and classic song-writing combine to lift the quality bar high with killer remixes from JAMIE BERRY and ODD CHAP completing the package. Mixing 20s and 30s swing with modern dance music has invited comparison with the likes of Caro Emerald, Swingrowers and Swing Republic of course, but Little Violet remains very much it's own thing. Little Violet was due to play the Festival circuit in 2020 but the current lockdown has put a halt to that. We hope to return with a LIVE video when we can, but in the meantime, enjoy this tribute to the brilliant Hollywood film THE ARTIST. If you haven't seen it already, you really must. We loved it.
