Part 3 of 13 of the period drama. Paul surprises many by marrying the aristocratic Grace Lovell, who finds herself residing back at her old ancestral home of Shallowford House. But they are not the only lovebirds who wish to wed. Will Codsall has fallen in love with Elinor Willoughby, but his tyrannical mother Arabella is aghast at him wishing to marry a common villager and her influence in the village is strong. And while Paul offers his support to the match, he finds surprising opposition from some quarters, while he learns just how determined Arabella is to stop the union...
