A podcast interview that Victoria Shalet did for "Are You From That Show?" in February 2021, talking to Hattie Jones and Jordan Maxwell - themselves two former child stars, from the film Madeline (1998) and TV series My Parents Are Aliens (1999-2006) respectively. Here Victoria talks about her acting career, how she started out in 1989, finding fame in The Queen's Nose, and how her career began to stall in the noughties, plus stories on being recognized (or not, in one incident involving best friend Ellie Beaven at a festival) and on set of some of her programmes, as well as an unpleasant experience on working on The Affair of the Necklace. She comes across very well in the interview, giving thought to her answers, while she also comes across as self conscious about her fame, praising other actresses while dismissing her own abilities. She also talks about her interest in psychotherapy that helped in her personal life, while she also mentions what roles she really wanted - and missed out on.
This is from a recording I managed to do from the podcast from Are You From That Show? a couple of years back. My reason for uploading this is only because it contains an interview with Victoria Shalet, and no offence is intended in uploading this on here, so apologies in advance if this is not permitted. The actual podcast can be found here for those that are interested:
