Junk (1999) (Episode 2)

Part 2 of 3 of the teenage drama from 1999. With her new goth makeover, Gemma and Tar embrace their new freedom away from their parents. Now living in a squat with vegetarian couple Jerry and Yanny, Gemma quickly riles Yanny for secretly eating a burger and fearing her a bad influence on Tar she tells Gemma to go back home. But at a party she meets Lily, who with her boyfriend Rob offer her a place to stay. Lonely without Gemma, Tar later joins them, little realizing they are heroin addicts, and before long the teenagers sink into a life of drug abuse. When supplies run out, the foursome are faced with either stealing for money or resorting to prostitution. Starring Jemima Rooper, Daniel Newman, Marcelle Duprey, Lee Ingelby, David Scofield, Susan Penhaligon, Katryna Thomas-Shell and Joe Shaw. This is not from my own collection, but from videos I saved from Youtube that have since disappeared. It is from an old recording, so please note picture quality may not be perfect. It also tracks in movement, but that is nothing to do with me. The episode format of this acclaimed and controversial drama is very rare to find, as it is usually shown (if at all) as a condensed feature length drama. Please note that due to it's subject matter it involves drug use, and also features brief nudity.
