Movie Trivia
During the end credits, a picture of Jake (Jack Palance) doing a one-armed push-up with one of the Robberson's kids was flashed. This was a reference to what Palance did after he accepted his Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, for "City Slickers (1991)."
The music heard throughout the film is the theme music from "Poltergeist (1982)." Except for the scene where Chevy looks up the waiter's record. This includes theme music from "Miami 50" and "Dragnet."
The location of the diner(Hawthorn Grill)where Chevy Chase has a bagel near the beginning of the movie is the same diner used in the movie Pulp Fiction.
The family portraits on the wall during the breakfast scene are of the originals owners of the house used for filming.
