A unique short film about the rest of the Soviet people in pre-war Moscow, in Gorky Park in the 1930's.
"Flying People".
The brave individuals were tied to the ends of the cranes’ metal derricks, 30 or so feet-long. Those derricks were, like pendulums, swaying them from one direction to the other, with the help of a heavy counterweight. At times, they seemed to be plunging the heroes' heads into the ground. What was extremely surprising was that neither the young men, nor the young women produced any blood-chilling shrieks. No one screamed like they did on a roller coaster. Some even would stick out their hand above their heads, imagining they were flying superheroes. The enormous machine was squeaky and primitive - but really cool.
