Christmas 1953 is fast approaching. James and Tristan become involved in a feud between the Bradley brothers, who both want to ring the Christmas bells. A suspected case of Foot and Mouth Disease threatens to ruin the festivities. The practice is introduced to Joe Mulligan's successor to Clancy.
