Part 6 of 8 of the 1980 TV period classic. As it moves towards the end of the 1930's, things are changing at a rapid pace. At home Cedric continues to revitalize Lady Montdore, and after tragedy for Polly she and Lady Montdore are reconciled. It also serves to set up a whole new change of affairs in the marital home that only Fanny can see coming. Things are more serious abroad, as while Davey Warbeck goes off to America to retrieve an absconding Jassy, Linda travels alone to France to help Christian in his political cause helping fighters in the Spanish Civil War. She encounters Matt, who had gone over to fight in the war, but finds few other friends as she realizes she may of made a terrible mistake leaving her husband for Christian...
