Episode: And So to Bed. After twenty-five years the Ropers' bed finally collapses and it's time to buy a new one. The trouble is that George is on a hire purchase black-list and can only get a new bed if he can put down the readies. Fortunately he has a winning system for horse racing and is confident it can get him the money.
