Timelapse - The Moon climbing the Aiguille Verte - Mont Blanc
For such a timelapse, a lot of preparation...
Actually the challenge was to have the moon rising along the Aiguille Verte, the well known summit within the Mont Blanc.
To find the position in order to shoot the timelapse needs to simulate positions with peakfinder application, then to determine with specific calculations in order to know the right place.
30 meters away and the moon will not rise the edge .
Another keypoint for a moonrise timelapse is about the right balance between the exposure for the moon and the landscape.
The balance is correct when there is the sunset in the same time than the moonrise.
So the D day was on the July 18th !
Fortunately, the clouds bring some nice timelapse effects but allowed to see the moonrise.
After the moonrise, a great place near the Chesery lakes allowed to observe the climbers along the edge of the Mont Blanc.
A nice time shared with Serge shooting panoramic pictures.
