Protesters gathered near the US Embassy in Moscow on Thursday to protest the US Tomahawk missile strike against Syria, calling for an end to Washington’s current approach to the conflict in the Middle East.
Denis Ganich, Protester, (Russian): "Today we are having a demonstration near the US Embassy, connected to the aggressive actions of the United States and its last strike on Syria with Tomahawk cruise missiles. We see that presidents change in America, but their aggressive politics remain the same. We think, that the US is the main exporter of war in our world and the number one terrorist, who, despite of its so-called democracy talks, continues to impose its will with cruise missiles and bombs all over the world."
Natalia Kopylova, Protester, (Russian): "They think that they can teach us how to live and to bomb everyone they want. For example, look at same Yugoslavia, same with Iraq; now they have decided to do the same thing with Syria, but I think they will not be successful there."
Vitaliy Gersasimov, Protester (Russian): "It's what is called 'hit in the apple'. The US is not only a state-terrorist, but also a state-political prostitute."
