Hobart Earle conducts the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of "Proshanie Slavyanki", a legendary march originally written in the late 19th century by Vassily Agapkin. This March is best known in Russia in connection with the "Great Patriotic War" ( second world war ) , and this performance on May 8, 2008 was from the Odessa Philharmonic's traditional VE Day concert.
