One day he saves Nazli, the daughter of the gendarme chief Hasmet Pasa from Sabri the bandit. Nazli's father, being the gendarme chief, is after Murat for arresting him. As his men chase him, Murat he hides in Nazli's room, and she saves him. In the meantime Sabri the bandits is caught. He tells Hasmet Pasa that he will catch and kill Murat and in exchange Hasmet Pasa should pardon him. Sabri is dishonest, he blames Murat for all his misdeeds and even abducts Hasmet Pasa. Murat saves the Pasa from Sabri. Pasa gets to know that Murat is a good person and gives his consent to Nazli and Murat's marriage.
