Part 5 of 6 of the classic TV comedy farce. In this episode, Lady Maud is outraged at the blowing up of the Gorge in the government's bid to build a motorway through her home and decides to make her home a fortress, shipping in a number of zoo animals to keep out the workmen. She tries to show Dundridge the compromising photos to expose Sir Giles, but Dundridge refuses to listen. Meanwhile, Sir Giles - now an outcast - plots to get rid of the house once and for all, and in a chaotic night in the town Blott decides to hinder the motorway project by befriending and getting drunk the workmen.
