  • What is spam?
    Spam is unwanted messages such as advertisements, unsolicited invitations to groups, and so on. Spamming is a serious violation of the website's License Agreement and can result in blocking the user profile used to send such messages. We have prepared a special video that explains what spam is, how we deal with it, and how not to fall for spammers' tricks.

  • Should I respond to spammers?
    Please don't contact users who send spam, even if you have the very best intentions in mind. You risk losing your profile if you do so! The best thing to do when you receive unsolicited messages is to add the sender to the Black list and report the spam.

  • My profile is constantly being hacked. What should I do?
    Don't worry! This is obviously an unpleasant situation, but nothing we can't fix. Just follow the instructions below:
    1. Change the username and password to your profile;
    2. We also recommend that you change the password for the associated e-mail;
    3. Log out of your profile on all devices. You can learn how to do this here;
    4. Please note! If your profile gets hacked regularly, it's highly likely that your computer has been infected with a virus. Update your antivirus software and run a full scan of the computer;
    5. Check the hosts file as well. Instructions are available here.
    6. That's all! If you have followed all steps described above, you have nothing more to worry about. Additional information on how to safeguard your profile against hacking is available here. It will help you avoid similar unpleasant situations in the future, and everything will be OK!

If the administration wants to communicate important information to users, it posts such information in the official group, which can be found here. All other messages sent on behalf of the administration, and especially messages that require you to send a paid SMS or follow a link, are fraudulent. Don't trust them!   • I got a message with a code on my phone
    If you received a message with a code from Odnoklassniki that you didn't request, somebody may be trying to access your profile. Never give this code to a third party! To prevent your profile from being compromised, change your username and password as soon as possible. To make everything OK in the future, you should:
    • check the addresses of the links from received messages. Our address always includes the domain ok.ru;
    • regularly scan your computer for malware using the latest antivirus software;
    • never enter your Odnoklassniki username and password anywhere except on www.ok.ru.

    It's possible that third parties have gained access to your profile and sent these invitations to your friends on your behalf. For security reasons, we recommend that you immediately change the passwords to your OK. RU profile and to your e-mail.   • I received a request to share my phone number. What should I do?
    If someone from our website, even a good friend or relative, asks you to share your phone number, there is some cause for suspicion. Your friend's profile may have been hacked. Please be cautious. Scammers use the following tactics to trick you:
    • First, they ask you for your phone number for a variety of reasons;
    • Then, they request a code to restore the password to your profile or for receiving OKs;
    • And finally, they ask you to send them this code, which you will have received via SMS.
    Do not, under any circumstances, give this code to anyone! As long as you are the only person who knows this code, your profile will be secure. If you still end up falling prey to a scam, please contact the Customer Support Team immediately and provide a full description of your issue.
