In the opening scene, the footsteps of the couple walking down the road are joined by the footsteps of someone following them (Erol Taş). After the young man drops his girlfriend off at home, the girl is attacked and killed by a masked killer. The murders begin after this incident. The names of the women the killer killed and the initials of the neighborhoods where he killed them are the same. The killer creates an acrostic from this and continues to commit murders towards his final target. However, he is faced with a tough detective (Ekrem Bora). Another detail about the film is that necrophilia is included in a Turkish film for the first time. In addition, the fact that the killer is successfully hidden and cannot be guessed until the end of the film, and that there are multiple murder suspects and the audience makes guesses among them, draws the audience into the film even more. The acting of Engin İnal, Erol Taş and Güzin Özipek really deserves appreciation. The film, which is one of the first giallos of Turkish cinema, is one of the best examples of its kind with its cast, plot and script, and the curiosity it arouses in the audience until the end, and deserves to be watched. Oyuncular arasında Ekrem Bora, Sema Özcan, Tanju Korel, Erol Taş, Gülgün Erdem ve Reha Yurdakul gibi dönemin popüler oyuncuları bulunmaktadır. Kadın Düşmanı, sisli soğuk bir gecede karanlık İstanbul sokaklarında yürüyen bir çiftin görüntüsüyle açılıyor. İlk sekanstaki bu görüntüler, İstanbul’un eski dar sokakları, duvara yansıyan gölgeler, karanlıktaki ayak sesleri oldukça iyi düşünülmüş ve filme ürkütücü ve gotik bir hava katmış. Açılış sahnesinde gördüğümüz, yolda ilerleyen çiftin ayak seslerine onları takip eden birinin ayak sesi daha eklenir (Erol Taş). Genç adam sevgilisini evine bıraktıktan sonra, kız maskeli bir katil tarafından saldırıya uğrar ve ölür. Bu olaydan sonra cinayetler başlar. Katilin öldürdüğü kadınların isimlerinin ve onları öldürdüğü semtlerin baş harfleri aynıdır. Katil bundan bir akrostiş oluşturarak son hedefine doğru cinayetler işlemeyi sürdürmektedir. Fakat karşısında çetin bir dedektif vardır (Ekrem Bora). Ayrıca filmle ilgili bir ayrıntı da ilk kez bir Türk filminde nekrofilinin yer alıyor olması. Bunun yanı sıra filmin sonuna kadar katilin başarıyla gizlenmesi ve tahmin edilememesi, ayrıca birden çok katil zanlısının olması ve seyircinin bunlar arasında tahminlerde bulunması izleyiciyi filmin içine daha çok çekiyor. Engin İnal, Erol Taş ve Güzin Özipek’in oyunculukları ise gerçekten takdiri hakediyor. Türk sinemasının ilk giallolarından biri olan film, gerek oyuncu kadrosu gerekse kurgusu ve senaryosu ve sonuna kadar izleyicide uyandırdığı merakla türünün en iyi örneklerinden birisi ve izlenmeyi hakediyor.
