"Thinking Out Loud" impacted Australian radio on 14 August 2014, and was released as the third single off x, the second track to go to number one from the album. The song has also reached the top spot in Ireland, New Zealand, Denmark, and the Netherlands, and is also Sheeran's highest charting US single to date, peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot 100.
