The War Lover 1962 "The War Lover, 1962" In Britain during World War II, Capt. Buzz Rickson is in command of a B-17 bomber. Col. Emmet, Rickson's commanding officer, cancels the bomber group's attack because of cloud cover when they are flying above Germany. The crew, particularly his co-pilot, Lt. Ed Bolland, trusts Rickson's instinctive flying abilities, despite the fact that the group's flight surgeon is unsure if Rickson is a hero or a psychopath. The War Lover is a 1962 British war film that Howard Koch and Philip Leacock both wrote.
