Soon, one of the girls goes missing from the sorority house, and then a local teen is found dead, leading the girls to suspect a serial killer is on the loose. But no one realizes just how near the culprit really is. Nearly half a century later Black Christmas is still an effective festive horror. And Margot Kidder is fantastic as the damaged Barb. It's a rarity of the genre it helped create - a slasher with enough intelligence to wind up the tension between bloody outbursts.
