Flatt and Scruggs: Ain't Gonna Work Tomorrow and Home Sweet Home
Please enjoy two songs -- "I Ain't Gonna Work Tomorrow" and "Home Sweet Home" -- which feature some fine 5-string banjo picking by the master of them all, Earl Scruggs.
Earl was the innovator of the famous 3 finger Bluegrass style. He first played with Bill Monroe in the mid forties, and then joined up with Lester Flatt to form the Foggy Mountain Boys. The rest is history.
I saw Flatt and Scruggs live on several occasions. Earl, in his eighties, is still performing today. I think he should be honored for innovation in American music, right along with Bill Monroe.
Anyone may purchase DVDs of these old Martha White Grand Ole Opry shows at http://earlscruggs.com, click on Merchandise, and scroll down to find them. I have no association with the DVDs or with Flatt and Scruggs, except as a long-time fan.
