Portrait of a Matador is a 1958 British short supernatural drama film. It features Anthony Tancred, Sandra Dorne, Yvonne Romain, and Dermot Palmer. An English painter abroad offends a combustible matador by producing an unflattering portrait. The matador is killed by a bull but swears vengeance from beyond the grave. A film restored by the BFI (British Film Institute) and released as part of the BFI Flipside 'Short Sharp Shocks (1949-1986)' series of DVD's. A collection which revisits the heyday of the supporting programme with a compendium of eerie and eccentric British short films.
